Patient Care in October

We do home visits to seven areas: Cleaning and bathing if necessary; Feeding the helpless patients; Monitoring patient’s medication; DOT [Directly Observable Treatment] support to patient’s on TB treatment; Door to Door campaigns; TB screening and follow-up; HCT [HIV/AIDS Counselling and Testing] during home visits and at Masoyi Home Based Care; distribution of food parcels, and male and female condoms.

Summary of Activities

  • 11 new TB and HIV clients and 10 chronic patients were registered in our programme
  • 507 home visits
  • 361 families cared for
  • 321 people cared for including the existing clients

Apart from all the other work, each of the 20 patient care workers made an average of 25 home visits during the month.
