House No.3

Report from MIcheal Bobbert [Feb]:  “It is quite exciting to report about the wonderful experience I had while managing the house-building project for Don. in Jerusalem Trust. The project started in late October 2017, getting quotations from several builder’s  suppliers.  I finally made the necessary purchases for the 1,500 bricks, as well as all the different types of soil that were required.

“On 11th of November, I gave the builders the green light to break ground for the foundation.  We had quite a challenge with water because Jerusalem does not have running water on a regular basis, so we had to transport water from K2 centre to the building site using our bakkie [small truck] at times.

“I can proudly say that we have finished building the house.  We have painted the inside walls of the rooms, installed electricity and wired the whole house;

38 Toilet progressingwe have tiled both rooms, and also built a small table near the kitchen window which the young boy will use to cook on.  The little table has also been tiled.  We had forgotten to buy light bulbs and curtain curtain rails, but I will sure get to it soon.  We are yet to start building the toilet, which will probably take about a week to complete*.”

*Due for completion today!
