Report from Micheal Bobbert:
Selinah [child care coordinator] and I decided that it would be a good idea to mix the November and December food parcels so that the beneficiaries would have enough food to last them for the whole month of December during the holidays: they will all be home eating breakfast, lunch and dinner, unlike during school term when they only come home in the afternoon to maybe eat one meal.
The December food was quoted for, paid and collected from the wholesalers on several occasions to ensure that every food item required was accounted for. Deliveries were then made to 20 families on the 13thof December. It always happens that some of the children are not at home when we make the deliveries, usually away playing with friends, so the grandmother or grandfather receive the food on behalf of their grandchildren.
