From a report of a workshop held on 27 June:
“Several motivational speakers encouraged the children on various life skills. One was one of eMasoyi’s own previously disadvantaged orphans who had successfully applied all that he had learnt from such workshops when he was still a child, and gone on to study and qualify as a teacher. He gave them hope that through dedication and hard work there is always light at the end of the tunnel regardless of the many challenges that all the orphaned and vulnerable children were going through.
“An official from the Department of Social Development also had the opportunity to talk about substance abuse, their effects and consequences thereof; with the South African Police Department and Department of Education making contributions.
“Food and drinks were provided to everyone that was present and they all had the pleasure to indulge in a warm plate of food and drinks for our guests.”
[This workshop was funded by Masoyi Trust (UK).]
