From November’s Report:
“We visited a patient from Swalala Trust. She is a widow, 55 years old. She is on treatment for HIV, high blood pressure and heart attack. She lives in a five-room house, is unemployed, and her age does not qualify her to receive old age grant yet. She had seven children; three of them died one after the other. When she lay to rest one of her children before mourning for them another one died.
“Losing her three children in succession is the main cause of her high blood pressure and heart attack, because she could not deal with the situation. We organized a social worker to counsel her and help her to heal because she was unable to heal.
“After she was counselled by the social worker, on our next visit we found her at a better state and we will continue to visit her to access her wellbeing.”
Yes, she was given a food parcel!
